The benefits

Benefits of Glymed+ Professional Facial and Peels

A well-chosen facial or peel can leave the skin looking brighter and feeling noticeably smoother, because the layer that scatters light has been cleared away. Across a series, professional peels may help improve the look of uneven tone, sun spots, rough texture, congestion and fine lines.

The facial approach suits skin that needs a gentler reset, while the peel approach suits skin ready for more active exfoliation. Either way, a clearer surface tends to receive your home routine more readily. Results vary, and they rely on daily sun protection and consistent home care.

What is Glymed+ Professional Facial and Peels?

Glymed Plus is a professional skincare line made for use by skin professionals. This appointment draws on that line in two ways: as a professional facial, with cleansing, exfoliation, treatment products and a mask, or as a professional chemical peel, which loosens the bonds that hold dull cells to the surface so they shed and make way for the skin beneath.

Professional peels can draw on several families of exfoliating ingredients, among them alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids and fruit enzymes, and the peels used in a skin studio are typically superficial. Your skin expert decides whether a facial, a peel or a combination suits your skin on the day, and explains the reasoning.

Who is Glymed+ Professional Facial and Peels for?

This treatment may suit you if your skin looks flat or dull, if rough patches, mild discolouration or early lines have appeared, or if your pores are prone to congestion. It is a considered next step for clients who want more than a classic facial.

If your skin is very reactive, if you have a recent tan or sunburn, or if you use prescription skincare, mention it before booking, as each can change which option is suitable. For a sensory Glymed Plus facial, see the Spicy Ice Facial, or compare the studio’s Linder Health peels.

  • Rough texture or congested pores

  • Clients ready for more than a classic facial
The experience

What to expect during your Glymed+ Professional Facial and Peels

  1. The appointment lasts about 60 minutes and usually opens with a conversation about your skin, your current routine and any recent treatments. This is where the choice between a facial, a peel or both begins.

  2. Your skin is then cleansed and prepared, removing surface oil so the products can work evenly across the face.

  3. For a peel, the solution is typically applied in thin layers and left for a measured time while your skin expert watches how your skin responds. Tingling, warmth or a mild itch are common and ease as the peel is removed. For a facial, treatment products, massage and a mask usually follow instead.

  4. Calming products and sunscreen complete the appointment. After a peel, your skin may look slightly pink for a few hours, and light flaking may follow for a few days, or there may be no visible peeling at all.

Results and how many sessions

One treatment can leave the skin looking brighter and feeling smoother. For tone, texture, congestion or fine lines, a series of around 3 to 6 peels, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, is commonly recommended, and the strength may be increased gradually as your skin builds tolerance. Facials are often booked every four to six weeks.

Pigmentation tends to fade slowly and can return with sun exposure, so daily sunscreen between sessions is essential. Results vary from person to person.
