A facial can end with one more quiet step. LED Light Therapy is a 15-minute add-on to any facial, using an LED light therapy device designed to increase circulation, help reduce acne-causing bacteria, calm inflammation and improve the look of skin tone and texture. If you are considering LED light therapy in Richmond, BC, it is offered at our med spa in Hamilton, Richmond, as an addition to your facial rather than a separate appointment.
Benefits of LED Light Therapy
LED light is designed to support the skin in several ways. It can help increase circulation, which may leave the complexion looking fresher. It can help reduce the bacteria associated with breakouts and calm the look of inflammation, which is why many clients choose it when their skin feels reactive or congested.
Over time, LED light may also help improve the look of tone and texture. Added at the end of a facial, it extends the treatment with a restful pause. Results vary from person to person.
- A 15-minute add-on to any facial
- Designed to calm the look of inflammation

- May improve the look of tone and texture
- Non-invasive, with no downtime

What is LED Light Therapy?
LED stands for light-emitting diode. In skincare, LED devices bathe the skin in specific wavelengths of visible light. There is no heat in the sense of a laser, and nothing breaks the skin’s surface. You simply rest beneath the light while it works.
At Studio Chique, LED Light Therapy is an add-on. It is booked together with a facial and is not offered as a stand-alone treatment.

Who is LED Light Therapy for?
This add-on may suit you if your skin is prone to breakouts, looks red or irritated, or would benefit from a calmer, more even appearance. It pairs naturally with facials such as the Glass Facial. For ongoing congestion, explore our treatments for acne and congestion.
LED light may not be suitable if you are sensitive to light, take photosensitising medication or have a condition that light can aggravate, so tell the studio before booking.
- Breakout-prone skin
- Skin that looks red or irritated
- Uneven-looking tone or texture
- Extending the benefits of a facial
What to expect during your LED Light Therapy
LED Light Therapy takes place after the main steps of your facial, once your skin has been cleansed and prepared.
You rest comfortably while the LED device is positioned over your face, usually with eye protection in place. Most clients feel nothing more than a gentle warmth, if anything.
After about 15 minutes, your facial is completed with moisturiser and sun protection. There is no downtime.

Results and how many sessions
Some clients notice calmer-looking skin soon after a session. LED therapy is usually most effective as part of a regular routine, so adding it to facials over several visits tends to bring more visible change than a single session. Results vary.
